Clearing out the creative vats of our (almost secret) Art Laboratory 

& releasing creatures into the wild via eBay.

Handcrafted unique, strange & diverse, often cryptid Taxidermy Art creatures.

Any one of which would make interesting special additions to any 

Cabinet of Curiosities collection.

After a break of several years Art of Kuriology is back

To launch our return we took part in 

Cornwall Open Studios 2024 

with an Art Instillation

An abandoned (almost secret) Art Laboratory

Filled with exotic strange weird perculiar unusual cryptid creature creations which may just have emerged from a mad genetics scientists laboratory.

 

 

  Now the Cornwall open studios 2024 season is over we are dismantling our Art installation.

  Individiual Kuriology sculptures from the instillation being listed on eBay UK - although to date most are being snapped up & heading for the USA

NB: * Pre-Brexit (Jan 2021) 40-60% of Kuriology Art sales were international.
We had sold Kuriology sculptures to numerous collectors in over 25 different countries outside the UK.

(**However, Brexit reality has resulted in new tariffs, massive increases in our material costs, material shortages, border controls, custom delays, additional bureaucracy, increased taxes, & increased courier costs, etc. – The direct negative impact of Brexit means we are currently no longer in a position to ship to Art customers/collectors overseas. Sorry.)

It had to happen, living in a rural part of the UK our internet broadband is pretty pathetic (0.15 mbps).  

Couple that with, we've been nursing our 10yr old computer along with regular maintenance, defrags & oddles of virus checks, but it was getting slower & slower - the equivalent of technological arthritis.  

Finally the router gave up.

After a little insistence over three days & an engineer report, our internet provider finally caved in & provided a new router.  We also put in a new microfilter, & the telephone engineer replaced the functional, but ancient connection box.  It was all still painfully slow - we bit the bullet, dug deep & bought a new computer - well the computer is fast, but internet still behaves like a little old lady dawdling on a zebra road crossing.

Bit the bullet again & decided to upgrade from broadband to (fanfare) Super-fast Broadband.  Our connectivity *should go from a pathetic 0.15 - 0.50 mbps to a super-duper minimum of 35 mbps.  

This will in theory be such a radical increase in speed for the Art Laboratory that we may even be posting Kuriology sculptures on the internet before we have even created them.  Well perhaps not quite, but it will mean hours spent waiting for things to load should/could be reduced to minutes.

We will wait and see!

Art of Kuriology barely saw a down turn in sales post Christmas 2019.  This buoyancy continued right up until the C19 lockdown when Kuriology took a four week break to wait & see how things panned out...& to settle in the new Kuriology Art Laboratory assistant, a six month old German Shepherd dog called Zeus.

Zeus will become the Kuriologist's Disability Service Dog, enabling the artist to leave his home.

A return to eBay auction listing has seen sales return strongly. In fact 80% of Kuriology sculptures listed for eBay auction on Sunday 10th May had bids on them within two hours of being listed.
